October 31, 2007 was the 2nd annual McGee's Ice Cream give away! Main street Hyannis was closed down between the hours of 3:00-6:00pm Halloween night. The children were able to enjoy the beauty of Main street, free candy and the great weather. Halloween 2007 was a great success. Patrons lined up in the courtyard to get their free icecream cone. The only requirement, trick or treat! McGee's Ice Cream felt that a Halloween give away would be a great reward to the local community to thank them for a great season.

In the summer of 2007 McGee's Ice Cream was able to create a fun environment to enjoy an icecream while learnig a geography lesson. McGee's Ice Cream introduced a map of the world to there customers. This was not an ordinary map, infact the staff at McGee's requested that the customers put a pin in the map to represent the customers original destination. The sign asked "where in the world are you from?" With in a few days the map was beginning to fill up with the pins. It was a success! At the end of the summer the map was covered in pins. There were pins everywhere! It is a reminder of great conversation that were generated over the summer. It is also a reminder that Cape Cod is a populare tourist destination with visitors from around the world. Where else can you enjoy a great icecream and learn about world events?
